Molly Tarlov is an American actor best known for her role in the recurring character Sadie Saxton in the teen comedy-drama television series Awkward from 2011. Tarlov was the first of two daughters who was born in the home of her parents in Manhattan. At the age of 10, Tarlov began her career as an actor in the production Bye Bye Birdie, at Little Red School House. The group of 7th year olds who watched the show were very impressed. When she grew older, she was a summer student in the Interlochen Center for the Arts and also in Paris learning with NYU's Tisch. Bennington College is where she earned her Bachelor of Arts (theatre) and studied a range of different types of acting. The Atlantic Theater Company also trained her and she was able incorporate writing into her performances during her LAByrinth Theater Masters Course. Molly swapped her winter coat with glasses in black, and set off to Los Angeles. Her parents were awestruck by her success in landing a part that required just three words on iCarly. She's since made several television shows as well as Caitlin as the lead protagonist in Winnie as well as Savannah Dooley's ABC Family show Huge. Molly says she's great in basketball, but she actually isn't. Her favourite writers include David Mamet, Henrik Ibsen and Lauren Iungerich.
