Shortly thereafter thousands of students across the globe joined the #FridaysforFuture strike, which saw students skip school on Fridays in protest of climate changes. Climate activists from around the world coordinated for the Global Strike for Climate. The event was an enormous success; over 1.6 million people across over 125 countries participated.
