Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actor who is known for her leading roles on a number of TV shows, and for her enthralling performances in movies. The popularity of her is shared by both Canadian and American television. Emily's love for acting first began in the year 12 she was visiting the sister of Katie who was shooting one of Katie's movies. She began taking classes in acting, and then auditioning when she realized that she was passionate about acting. The first commercials she auditioned for were however, she was eventually selected as a child actress in the Canadian television show, Are You afraid of the dark? In one single scene she appeared without speaking a word. On the WB TV show Glory Days, she received her first major break at the age of 15.
